| Super Bowl Half Time Show I am sitting here watching the pre game show and just found out that Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers is going to preform at half time. I was just wondering if someone else canceled and Tom Petty was the best they could come up with on a short notice. I have not heard anything about Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers in years. I have nothing against their music, I just think they could have done better.

| No, Tom Petty has been scheduled for months. I like their music, personally and I believe they have a new album coming out. (Did I just date myself buy saying "album"?)

| Yes you did date yourself. It is called a CD now. I don't have anything against them but with all of the so called "BIG NAMES" out there is just kind of shocks me that Tom Petty is doing half time.

| If country was what they wanted, how about Alabama or Dixie Chicks (I know, not popular because of the Bush bash, but that's a popular past-time now)? I like Tom Petty's music, too, but ... huh? It's hard to imagine it will be a high energy show as in the past. Maybe I'm wrong, but he just doesn't have the rep of a great showman.
