| They did this back in 86 I believe it was. Took a year off, actually made the league better. For a little while at least. Hopefully, they'll use the year to put together a quality, well planned league, rather than throwing it all together a month before the season starts.

| So sorry to have offended your delicate sensiblities about a semi pro basketball team.. Yeah, I said it.. semi pro.. and no, I didnt like them when they were here, and I cant say that Im broken hearted about them not playing this season... I dont know who had a bigger draw in 2007.. The Legend or the fish tank at Wal-Mart.. Let me get Jackie Moon on the phone, maybe the Flint Tropics need a new home in 2008-2009... So... THERE! |

| I didnt say the play was necessarily bad, but how can you get pumped up for rivals like Brooklyn New York, Gary Indiana, Oklahoma City... Come on! At least there could be a slight rivals thing with the Salina team.. And the cancelling games and teams dropping out of the league.. Thats bush league stuff... You dont see the San Antonio Spurs refusing to go to Boston cause they really dont have the money to afford a charter bus... Then folding out of the league mid season so come playoffs theyre arent even enough teams to fill a full bracket. And no, this is not Dodge Citys fault... But... its the life with semi pro sports... Champions one year and no team or league the next.. just cant get behind that.. All Im saying is that a Kansas league would have been a better fit, more like that National Baseball Congress thing.... With teams with HEAVY corporate sponsorship... |

| That might be a good idea....They had sponsorship just not enough. I guess some of the other teams needed more sponsers. I agree that you need the continuity...championship one year...no league the next isn't the way to keep your fan base. If we have a championship semi pro bb team and can't fill that thing we call an arena what are they going to put in the "events center" as an anchor attraction?
