| I used to watch boxing and really enjoyed it, but a couple of years ago it got to where it was just to crappy to enjoy. The fights were horribly fixed and so one sided.......way to many different organizations..........the boxers acted, and were treated like, movie stars (nothing like wanting to see a fight, but instead you get 10 minutes of the fighter making it to the ring behind some rapper, movie sets and bad music) and the fighters were way over rated. Anyone remember Michael Grant? The man was close to 7 foot tall and was a pretty good fighter. He wins a few bouts, gets a title fight with Lewis, and gets his clock cleaned immediately. Never heard from him again. It's like watching wrestling anymore.

| I have nothing against boxers in any way............many of them are very good and at the top of their sport. I do not like the organization. Kind of like baseball. I have nothing against players, I just think the "game" has become a joke. The more money the team has, the better their chances of winning. Whne the world series is always between Boston, New York or whatever team spends a billion dollars to "buy" their way into it, it becomes a joke.

| I agree with you on that Dutch! I used to be a fanatic baseball fan, but then the strike came along in 94. And, like you say, teams like Steinbrenners try to buy the win. The players are doping, and money hungry, etc. That's what I liked about Brett Favre and football. He seemed to really enjoy playing the game for the fun of it, not for the money. Guys like Don King ruined boxing. Too bad the City pissed off Mike Keitel. He used to put on some good amateur matches here in Dodge. |

| I usually never back down from anyone, but in Mike's case I would have second thoughts. The man was a true boxer, and not a whirlwind scrapper. Mike would wear you down with body shots, then when you could hardly lift your arms, he would hit you for real ![]() |

| That's cool JK! Bernard is a real down to earth kinda guy. Still shops at Walmart and Sam's! LOL Every time they say he is "over the hill", he comes back strong. Do you know who he is planning on fighting next? |
