This is what I was replying about when I said it was being discussed and was all over the message boards. Money talks and going home talks. KU can not match Boone Pickens money. That man almost single handedly funds the OSU athletic dept. That being said, Self will get a raise out of this, one way or the other. OSU is a step down, but not a huge step down. They haven't been very good the last couple years, but they were a force maybe 6-7 years ago.

With all this being said, I think he stays. He has it made at KU with an elite program and good money. I don't want to hear KU fans grumbling about him though. I've heard KU fans complain about his offensive style not being the fast pace that Roy had. You guys have a great coach who is a good person, you should be satisfied with that.

This just gives the KU fans an excuse that the team was distracted during the week, causing them to get blown out by North Carolina.

THe talk I hear is that T. Boone and Co. are willing to offer Self 5 mill. a year for 8 years, which I think would make him the highest paid coach in CBB.

I doubt it, OSU would definately be a step down for him, even if the pay is better. I guess the only real wild card is that he is a almuni of OSU.

UM...NO!

It wouldn't be a step down..it would be a flight of stairs down. Just because OSU had a couple of good years a few years back does not make them an elite program.

What the hell, you a KU traitor, bad. LOL, JK. I don't care who all gets into the NCAA Tourney, when you can make the field of 64, pretty good teams all around. Not taken away from KU, but, they better be on there game to match NC.
