I want KU to win but I think they will lose by double digits to UNC.

I respectively disagree. The coach has something to do with a program becoming elite but elite to ME means that you have a long history of winning. You can't build a tradition in a couple of years having a good coach. If Roy Williams went to Baylor that wouldn't qualify Baylor as one of the college elite programs. Elite to me means you have a tradition/habit of winning, you can get recruits based on who you are and you probably have a good coach. Again...I believe these are the historically elite programs...

Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, Duke and UCLA....there are a couple more that an argument could be made for but if you are coaching at one of these schools name one school a person would want to leave one of these schools to go coach at?

If that was the case, Texas Tech would be considered an elite program when Bobby Knight came to town. Don't think that's the case. An elite program is built on a tradition of winning.

Either way, I look at it like this:

KU Basketball did just fine before Bill Self, and KU Basketball will do just fine after Bill Self........Lots of folks thought the program would fall after Roy left and look, the final four.

KU is a premier basketball school.....lots of quality coaches would DIE to be able to go there.

I'm not scared, one way or the other.

What the hell, you a KU traitor, bad. LOL, JK.

Sorry, Kodiak!

I hate to admit it here, but I've always been a Tar Heel fan, even though I've been in Kansas all my life. I just don't think the hawks can keep up with NC, unless the Heels have a bad day. KU played a decent game Sunday, and just barely got by Davidson.
