It's official, Sean Sutton is out as Men's Basketball coach at Oklahoma State. With T. Boone Pickens willing to spend an unlimited amount of money, will Bill Self return to his alma mater?

If he is not interested in the OSU job, he needs to come out and say it right now. KU does not need this hanging over them going into their final 4 game with UNC. For those of you who think he wouldn't be interested, think again. Going back to your alma mater is a big deal, just ask Roy Williams and Bob Huggins. Add to that the T. Boone Pickens money that KU won't be able to match and you have an interesting situation.

You are kidding right? Will this even be discussed anywhere? I believe OSU could add a couple of million to Self's salary and he wouldn't go. Why would you eat hamburger when you can have steak? There are only a few ELITE basketball schools in the NCAA. OSU is NOT one of them NOR will ever be.

I think the elite programs are KU, INDIANA, UNC, DUKE, UCLA and Kentucky. IMO anyone coaching at one of these programs will only leave for another program. Going from KU to OSU would be like going from coaching the Dallas Cowboys to coaching the Baylor Bears....ugh.

Why would anyone even consider it?? Let's see, I've got it made right here, so why wouldn't I want to go there??? I thought the same thing about Roy, but he was going to a powerhouse, not an OSU.

Oh, its being discussed. ESPN says Self is the front-runner. Go to the KU and OSU message boards. It is the main topic of discussion. It isn't quite as big of a step down as you would think. KU is a top 5 program, OSU is normally a top 30 program. Now KU to Colorado would be a big jump down. I am just saying, an alma mater calling and a dump truck load of cash can speak pretty loud. The timing of this thing just really sucks.

In his press conference today Self said, "I haven't been contacted by anyone at OSU and if I was, I'd tell them to look in a different direction."

ESPN and other media have to have something to talk/speculate about.

He isn't going anywhere and I'll take a sig bet on it.

During his last final four run with KU, he had Dean Smith bugging the hell outta him about the UNC job. We all know how that one turned out..........
