Royals just took the second game from the Yankees at home tonight. They are playing great ball on all levels. Their pitching is great, their hitting is great....It would be nice if they could maintain this level. They are now 5-0 vs the top two payroll teams in the league.

On another note I noted Jason Giambi went 0-4 and is now batting .056 with only one run this year. That is what 23 million dollars (a little less than 1/2 the Royals payroll) will get you. I guess that's what happens when you go off of the "juice".

Well it is true Giambi is a bust. His contract was such a screw up. Too bad that was not the worst contract the Yankees made since then. I feel it is going to be a long year for my favorite team.

Since I do not get the YES Network any more, it is fun watching the D-Backs. They are a scrappy team. I still can not like them after what they did to the Bronx Bombers in '01

Maybe we will have a real team in KC this year. Guess I might have to go dig out the old KC Royals stuff. I think it is in the hole underneath my KC Chiefs stuff--which I think will be there for quite a while yet!

After they looked so great last night behind the pitching of Grienke the Royals are getting skull drug tonight...

Bale and Nomo need to go. Nomo has given up 6 runs/4 walks and 2 Hr's in only 4 innings pitched. Christ, I could do THAT on 1/2 his salary. NOMO..it's time to GO. KC has too much young talent to waste a spot on this fool.

Seems like they have a chance to win every time Bannister and Grienke take the mound...Mesche will be ok...but the next two starters......PPPPPPP UUUU

AOO, you do realize that at this moment, the Royals are in first place in the AL Central! Scary, huh?? 8-5 record. Last i looked, Mariners were ahead by several runs.

Yup...sort of like a few years ago when they won like 12 straight right out of the gate then collapsed. I watch the standings and the stats daily. They have someone in the top 5 of virtually every category.

That said...The guys they had tonight turned in some HORRIBLE pitching performance's. NOMO needs to GO.

If anyone has been watching the Royals they have probably notice their closer. J. Soria. This guy has some filthy stuff. In 7 appearances he has only given up 2 hits...no runs and has 10 K's to ZERO walks. Hopefully he can keep this up. This IS definitely what you want in a closer. Pedro who? If this guys can keep pitching like this he will make BIG bucks one day...of course they Royals won't be able to pay that kind of money to keep him and he'll either be wearing a Mets uniform or Yankee pinstripes.
