Kansas City Royals Baseball 2008
The Royals beat the Tigers again today by shutting them out. The Royals pitching staff held their $138 Million dollar team to 3 hits. (all by one player, the rest of the team was hitless) Soria got another save and struck out all 3 batters he faced.

KC might have an exciting team this year.

I know 2 games does not a playoff team make.....BuT...KC is in one of the toughest divisions in baseball. I think if they finished at .500 it would be a successful season. IT's exciting to watch the young talent. The only bad thing is as soon as they get talented KC will send them to a team willing to pay for the talent. Royals have been a farm club for the big boys....(Johnny Damon, Carlos Beltran)

Not that anyone probably cares but the Royals swept the Tigers today by winnin g 4-1. Grienke had a solid performance and Soria got his 2nd save.

I was listening to that game, but got busy and missed most of it. That is great that the Royals swept! That means they are "Undefeated" !!

I remember a day when KC had one of the highest payrolls in baseball. They used to win the division virtually every year.

Royals are doing well and i hope that they can be successful this season. Good young talent. How about Gordon??? What a start to the season compared to last year.


Being a Royals fan most of my life (which is not as long as some on this board), i always enjoy going out the Kaufman and watching a game. Can't wait till May, going to go see them play the Angels.

I think it's great they are opening the season vs the Yanks at home. That will sell some hot dogs.

They have tons of young talent. Gordon has much potential. I am anxious to see how Coach Hillman handles these young guys.
