Man, that's old news. I'm disappointed in you, I figured you'd jump all over that when it happened a month or so ago. That being said, as a die-hard KSU fan, it pretty much pisses me off. I was there in the late '90's when we were among the best in the country. And now we are backing down from Fresno State? I think Prince knows his job is on the line and that he will probably be gone unless KSU goes to a bowl game. Sad thing is, even with us dumping Fresno St., we still may not hit 6 wins. AT Louisville, AT KU, AT Mizzou, AT Colorado. Those alone are tough games, then throw in OU and TT and it gets downright brutal.

Now though, with all that being said, KU fan has no right dogging KSU football about their schedule. Who did you play last year? Too bad St. Mary's closed down, they'd be perfect! KSU has upcoming home and homes with Miami, Virginia Tech, and UCLA. KU just added that football powerhouse Duke. We'll see how the chickenhawks fare this year having to play OU, Tejas, and TT.

KU had a pud schedule and took advantage of it. The reality, as I'm sure you know, is nothing can be done about the conference schedule and the non con is usually set years in advance. That said we all know who Mangino tore the page of the playbook from. He's not an original. Regarding the timing of the news, I guess I was all wrapped up in March Madness at the time................

Ideally, I would like to see KSU and KU play 1 strong team, 1 decent BCS school, 1 pud MAC-type school, and 1 1AA school each year. You can't expect a team to play all top 25's then play the big 12. But at the same time, you can't play all pud schools either. Towards the end, Snyder did a better job of mixing in some better teams (USC twice, Iowa, Cal). I like how Prince is adding in a few tough teams, but I think he is in over his head.

I'm not sure what to think of the AD situation yet. I guess time will tell. I think Krause will be very good from the business side of it, but I don't know about the athletics side of things. Hopefully if the football team has a bad year, the AD will have the strength to do something about Prince.

There is a part of me that is really looking forward to football this year, but another part of me that thinks it could be a train wreck. With this many juco players, it is do or die. I hear from insiders that Carson Coffman could really push Freeman for the QB job, but that he won't be allowed to since Josh is Prince's "chosen one". I don't like how so many players left and how a lot of coaches have left. It really makes me wonder what is going on. But this team has shown flashes of being very good. Last year we crushed Texas and should have beaten Auburn. But then they had a mid-season collapse and never recovered. We could go 10-2 this year, but we could also go 4-8. Who knows.

Truth be told I have a feeling that KSU is going through a growing trend that KU has gone through leading up to last year. The problem is most fans don't want to hear that and hope and a quick turnaround will happen.

I just don't see it happening. And I, for one, never fell for Prince's "smoke and mirrors" schtick.....

He says all the right things, but so did Manson.
