As far as the Chiefs...yes I watched them and it was painful. Croyle can't stay healthy. I am wondering if they are going to use their first draft choice for a QB and start over or stay with Croyle. Croyle and Huard probably wouldn't be a 2nd string on most teams....maybe that's going a bit far but they aren't starters. The Chiefs have a lot of work to do. They have a couple of young players that are potential stars. Bowe has tons of potential if he had the right QB finding him on the fly. With a bit better of an O' line I believe LJ still has a few TD's left in him also. The Chiefs had a great draft last year and they will obviously have some decent picks this year. Hopefully they do well again and in 2 or 3 years are contending.
Good analysis. The Chiefs MUST find a young QB in the draft. Colt McCoy as a Chief? I am done with LJ. He occasionally has a good game (Denver), but is it worth the distractions and attitude?

I wonder how much his attitude does play in his performance. Back in the day when he was on the bench behind Priest he pitched a fit. Perhaps they should trade him on draft day. I don't know.

I get pretty tired of some KSU fans, I'll be honest. I'm sure some KU fans are just the same. But I don't see Bubba or Bandit being ouvert snobs about KSU football. I think they, at times, could have been overly optimistic...but what hardcore fans aren't? There's really no need to get this worked up about College Football........relax!! As long as they aren't rooting for Missouri, they are worth having a beer with.

Unfortunately for KSU, I think it's the end of the road this season. Looking at that schedule, KSU really needed to have 5 or 6 wins at this point to have a shot at a bowl. Realistically, they aren't going to pick up another 2 games this season, and their wins so far this year are horribly unimpressive. They'd have to knock off OU and KU to be considered for a bowl. Stranger things have happened. KU did go from 6-6 with no bowl to an Orange Bowl victory in one year. KSU is FULL of JUCOs who are still trying to mold. Kids like that can come together at weird times and you might see this team *appear* to be a whole nother team in 2-3 weeks. Might not be in time though (especially for Prince). I don't get really upset or excited seeing KSU struggle. I prefer to see them succeed because it only helps KU and the Big 12 North, but man it's nice to hear some crickets from some KSU friends (they're so LOUD). I give Prince one more year at the most at this rate, but let's hope for the state of Kansas football they have some more success.

I ain't gonna bag on KSU since KU's defense looks like swiss cheese right now.

But I would like to know what the deal is with Prince's "coon-eyes" look he has been sporting. Honestly, he should remove the shades and even out the tan a little. Looks pretty goofy.

That is pretty much what I was saying earlier about they are right on the edge, they just need to pull it together, or something to that effect.

KSU defense held Colorado scoreless in the 2nd half of the game. That has to say something about how the defense is improving doesn't it?

I still see KSU beating Neb. and Iowa State at Manhattan the last 2 games, that would put them at 6 wins. I think they have a chance to surprise people against Mizzou. Also, Bandit nailed it about the 2003(?) game against OU where KSU were double digit underdogs and walked away with a 35-7 win! Anything can happen. Who would have thought 2 weeks ago that Nebraska would have took Texas Tech to Overtime in Lubbock? I don't think there were too many that saw that one coming....

What was Ron Prince's idea at the end of the first half on Saturday?? He had almost two minutes to try to move down field and score, but he let time run on and about cost him when Hawkins called time out to get Colorado the ball back. If KSU had moved down field even just a little, they might have been able to at least kick a field goal, and that would have won them the game (since Prince decided not to go for two on the touchdown--which would have tied the game)! huh2:

That pissed me off. I don't know what in the heck he was thinking. I don't know what happened to "bold and daring" as Prince used to say, but that was pretty much the opposite.

Well, the good news is Freeman threw for 478 yards...and 3 Td's against a top 5 team. That's gotta be some kind of record. The downside was that there was 3 int's to go along with it.

Jayhawks "D" looked at bad as the Wildcats...it must be a big 12 thing.

KU and KSU both got spanked! They both started out pretty good, but couldn't keep up with them. Next weeks KSU vs KU game should be a good one! By the way, Oklahoma State gave Texas all that they wanted!! I was hoping the Cowboys could pull it out, but they ran out of time.
