Yeah, it was a bad day for the Kansas teams. I figured KSU would get smoked, but at least they made it a game early by storming back to make it 28-28. But it was all downhill from there. The KU game really surprised me. I saw them playing TT within a touchdown either way but they got rocked. They actually got beat worse than KSU did by TT. I really don't know what caused that because I thought they'd make it a good game.

We have no defensive or offensive line.

No pressure on the QB = our DB's getting burnt all day.
No time for Reesing = stagnant offense (and 3 picks).

All great religions, in order to escape absurdity, have to admit a dilution of agnosticism. It is only the savage, whether of the African bush or the American gospel tent, who pretends to know the will and intent of God exactly and completely.

I am ready for the swiss cheese bowl this coming weekend.
I swear, Texas and Okie State are the only two Big 12 teams with any D.
    Kinda sad...............

KU's D has been one of the best the last several years. What do you think is the problem this year? Was it your D coordinator leaving, the players, or both?

I still remember the KSU D of the late '90's and early 2000's, they were among the best in the country every single year. Pretty sad to see how far they've fallen.

The same thing happened to both KU and KSU against TT. If you can't get pressure on Harrell he will tear any defense apart. KSU and KU couldn't get pressure on him and he had a field day against both teams. Texas against TT could be one heck of a game.

I feel it is the loss of the coach. Hell they didn't lose THAT MUCH as far as players. The score fests are fun to watch, but without a D, the teams will suffer. Especially come bowl time. I remember too well Vermeil's high flying circus in KC. I also remember Greg Robinson's defense. Mizzou and OU to an extent are doing the same thing. Guess the spread offense is all the rage now. It will come around though. Who do you like next weekend?

I am surprised at how badly KU got beaten today, i figured the offense would at least get keep them in the game. Its not looking good for both Kansas teams going forward IMO. Possible that KSU won't even make a bowl and I see two more wins at most for KU.

I heard a rumor that KSU might go after OU Defensive Coordinator Brent Venables (coached with Bill Snyder at KSU and is a Salina native) to replace Ron Prince. Anybody else hearing anything??

I really really hate to say this and never thought I would say this, but I see KU winning by probably 2 touchdowns. I just don't think our D can stop KU's offense and I think KU will come up with a few stops and a few turnovers. I think the final will be somewhere in the neighborhood of 38-24. I do think if the game was in Manhattan that it would be a lot closer.

I heard he was on "the list" at the time of Price's hiring but the dude has a tremendous amount of baggage as it pertains to college aged females. And I mean a tremendous amount. We'll see. Weiser is gone so who knows what'll happen.

I would love to have Venables but something happened when he left KSU that left a bad taste with some of the big donors. Nobody will say what happened or what was said, but I hear Wefald and some of the big donors do not want Venables. It was bad enough that Stoops, Venables, and co. had made up their minds to leave for OU before the Alamo Bowl that year, but I hear that something else happened.

There is a website called Welcome to HirePatterson.com! Dedicated to bringing Coach Gary Patterson home to K-State. set up to promote the hiring of TCU head coach Gary Patterson. He'd be pretty good also.
