Found Dog

Somebody called my work earlier asking if anybody lost a hunting dog, but we don't allow pets here. I did see 2 dogs outside the other day, but they were brown w/ a few white spots.

I've seen hunting dogs of all types and breeds. I would put the word out at the animal shelter and the vet clinics. Another thought, it could be an animal someone dropped off on purpose. Those kind of people should be shot. I get animals dropped off out here in the boonies all the time. People think they will show up on the farm and become a farm dog. That is very cruel, and if I catch anyone, I will turn them in to the authorities. Normally what happens is the animal starves to death or gets taken out by coyotes.

Well the dog is in the Dodge City Animal Shelter. They said that they normally hold dogs 3-4 days while waiting on an owner to claim it but after that time they attempt to put it up for adoption or put it down. I wish I could keep it, but already have two farm dogs to keep me busy. I would ask anyone needing a dog to check it out, just make sure you have a lot of room because it is a large dog.
