Looking for a house to rent!

well one time i rented a house thou professional management,boy i won't do that again, they didn't want to fix broken windows, they didn't tell me about when it rains the basement leaked, when things went wrong you call and tell them about it, oh someone will come, well no one came,thank god i got out of that place

That's too bad - but of course sounds like THEY broke the lease agreement so it didn't cost ya anything to get outta that dump! I like the binding agreement that way I know have an agreement to go back to!

We rented from Professional Management for 5 years and while they never came through with the new carpet and tile as promised, they were johnny-on-the-spot with any other problems.

Professional Mgmt doesn't usually own the houses - they manage the houses for jokers like me that own a house, don't live in it and don't wanna be bothered with the rif raf when trying to rent it.

There is a binding contract between the company and the owner as well as the company and the tenant. I would hold the company responsible if they put free loaders in my house. Basically I pay the company to find me good tenants. So Johnny on the spot for repairs sounds bout right - I think that would be what I pay the company for..... minor repairs.

Major stuff like carpet - new AC,,,, new appliances....... so long as those things are in working order and the property is not lowered in renting value............. it's up to me when and IF I chose to replace something that still has some years in it.

Sounds like the managment company overstepped thier bounds when promissing something like new carpet.......

Someone (Tat2Me) went to Professional Management and got a list for me yesterday...we looked at some of the properties and so far, there isn't what I am looking for so hopefully by the time we need to move, something will pop up. If not, I might have to get a job or just settle for less....which would SUCK!

Yeah no kidding! I thought there would be several! But turns out I went to professional management the other day and there wasn't ONE SINGLE house on the list! Of course there were duplexes and apartments, but hubby refuses to live in another duplex and would NEVER consider an apartment. He's picky lol! Hopefully something will come up.

We extended our notice until the end of April, but we are hoping something will come up or else we will still be stuck here...has anyone heard of anything new? We have been going to professional mngt., but I hate their attitude! They always act like they are too busy to do their own job! I just wanna go home to Liberal...
