| Also, how tame is it? Does it sit on your finger or shoulder?

| we found one about a year ago, my husband took it around the neighborhood, to no avail. We weren't set up for one of these, I think you need to know what you're doing...we ended up taking it to the pet shop up on Wyatt earp and the girls in there new exactly who's bird it belonged to. I hope she/he finds her/his home!

| I have a friend in dodge that has cockateals - if ya want to keep it he would probably be happy to guide ya along the path of ownership.

| Tee..it was the strangest thing. I went outside to move some things around before that big storm and heard the weirdest bird call I've ever heard. I look up and see a yellow bird. So I call my grandmother (she's loves birds) and she had my grandfather come over for a look. Grandpa showed up and stuck out his finger and whistled and the bird flew over to him and looked like it was attacking him. I shut my eyes and the next thing I know, the bird is sitting there with him. So, yes, the bird is about as tame and as smart as they come!! Then, Grandpa got a cage and the bird hopped down and crawled right in. I couldn't believe my eyes! So, right now it's over there at their house keeping them company. But, I don't think they want to keep it and I'm petrified of birds so I can't keep it. So, I'm putting an ad in the Globe and thanks to hoarsey, I'll take it down to the pet shop hopefully for a positive ID. Thanks for all of the good advice. I'm glad I turned here first! |

| I am just a birdbrain. Hope you find the owner. If not, I am sure I could find someone to take it. ![]()

| Update The owner stopped by to claim "Holler" yesterday! I was truly amazed at the great lengths the Parrot Palace went to to reunite the bird with the rightful owner. They knew just who he belonged to and within 4 hours of contacting them, the bird was back. So kudos goes out to Parrot Palace and for all on here for the advice! Thanks! And yes...his name did fit him well. (I had to babysit while the grandparents went out of town) ![]() |
