Need: Trumpet

My little brother (Big Brothers/Big Sisters) is supposed to start summer school on Monday but is lacking an instrument- He wants to play the trumpet. Teacher said it must be a B-flat trumpet. Trumpets are expensive and mom can't afford a new one.

Does anyone have one they would sell cheap or donate to a worthy cause? Or of we could even borrow it for the summer or until another one can be found- right now we are kind of in a pinch cause he starts school on Monday and is supposed to have one in hand.

Could really use some.... HELP!!

I don't have one but I thought the scool supplied intruments you could rent. If not might want to try the Salvation Army (seriously) or maybe Goodwill thrift. Lots of folks toss trumpets - don't know bout the b flat stuff - didn't know they came in notes. Good Luck! If all else fails might wanna try a "need" add in the paper.

Doesn't the school have loaners for families of low income? The mom may have to fill out some paper work for proof of low income.
I was in the same position last year except I didn't want to spend a lot of money on an instrument that my child may or may not want to continue to play. I went to www.music123.com and found a clarinet that was in the low 100s. She played it all year and it is still in great condition. She will be using it again this summer & next year. Hope I helped.

I just read where there will be a saxophone, a trumpet, & a flute for sale at a garage sale at 2903 Toalson on Friday from 3-7. If there are any parents of new 5th graders (or anyone else) needing these instruments, check them out.
