| Bubba, Thanks! I've been to Ebay and found some real good deals. I just didn't know if the new DM was made in the USA. I know now...that the X series are the only guitars made in Mexico by Martin, all others are made in Nazareth, PA.

| How bout a Takamine? Hey Mike, would you settle for a very nice Takamine? Cherry fininsh, great electronics, sounds amazing plugged in. (this is not a G-series Takamine)It retails for about $1600. I have had it for about 9 years and love it, but I am looking for something a bit lighter for on stage. Let me know, and I will put a pic on this thread. Vin ![]()

| Martins are Overrrrrrrated Martin guitars are a very over rated instrument. They're sound is pretty good and the playability is not so good. Look for a Taylor, Breedlove, Alverez Yaria or high end Takamine and you'll be more pleased in the long run. Decent taylors in the 300 series or above can be had new starting at about $1600. For $3000 you can buy a Taylor that will make any martin sold sound like a cardboard box. Makin' Music |
