True BUT the Tundra is second to the Silverado by a fraction but is $12K less in price, gets better gas mileage and has a higher owner satisfaction.

That's called value.

Looks like chevy gets the same in the city and better on the highway with a .1 liter bigger engine.

Is anybody still in the mood to hear me say once again that I still love my Ford? Still not up on blocks - it's a weekend driver.

Look Skippy, I wouldn't go by what the company itself tells you the car gets....I would go by the consumer reports ACTUAL ROAD TEST under normal conditions. Both vehicles tested were 4wd vehicles and the Toyota got better gas mileage in the same driving conditions and test as the Chevy. It's in black and white. What more do you want?

Have seen them in a crash, and that's called "dead"!
I have had good luck with Ford, Chevy, and Dodge.

There's a lof of factors that go into a "Crash". The tundra receives the highest marks possible for a crash rating by consumer reports.

Actual CRASHES mean more than "studies/reports".

I would agree but you can't compare them if they are not in a controlled environment.

I wouldn't mind another Toyota, right now I have a Camry and love it, I think he is going to look at a Nissan Frontier today, and possibly in the next couple weeks we might go to Park Motors in Augusta, I guess they are having some pretty good sales there. We've also talked about waiting until September or around there before buying something and putting some more money back in savings. I dunno I guess if the right truck falls in his hands we'll buy it but for now we're just browsing!!! He really wants a Chevy Z-71, but with the price of gas now, we're thinking smaller also so it doesn't cost us an arm and a leg to fill up! Whatever we get will have extended cab though since we have the girls and they are still in booster seats!
