| And right across the street to the north was Triplett's Grocery. By the way...that is where the first public swimming pool in Dodge City was located. This would be where Montana Mike's is today. |

| 4th went through? I NEVER knew that. There was always that huge parking lot. Truth be told, I never got that far away from home most often. Went downtown with grandma and we ate at the Woolworth's lunch counter.

| Being someone who was born after the Urban Renewal, it's always fascinating to me how much the downtown/Wyatt Earp corridor has changed. I find it interesting to hear my mother remember walking downtown as a little girl with her parents at night doing Christmas shopping where everyone knew everybody. Or that Dillons was first at 3rd and Spruce. What I wouldn't give to live in that town, or at least experience it. One question I've always had was whose bright idea was it to demolish the old Dodge and what reasoning was there for it? |

| i agree with deuce that this was a dumb idea. Were the streets both front street collectively or did they have two different names. I asked my dad but he forgot what they were called.
