Treasure hunting can be very frustrating and explains why only a few ever take on the task. Keeping a positive attitude is key on any such hunt. Here are some of the things to keep in mind that keep me in the hunt.

There will always be rumors that its already been found but until verified they should be ignored. Often your competition will start such a rumor in hopes others will give up.

Read my signature. The real treasure is in the hunt... Don't think of the hunt as a tedious task but an escape from your daily grind. A chance to forget about your problems and chase a dream.

Treasure hunting is not about reading a clue and going out and finding the loot. Its a process of elimination. I went out yesterday and didn't find the medallion but I didn't fail, what I did was to find 7 more locations where the medallion is not. Sooner or later I hope to run out of locations where it is not.

In the words of the well known treasure hunter, Mel Fisher, "Today is the day." For 16 years this was his attitude every time he looked in a new location. He didn't fail to find the famed Atocha(valued at $450 million) for 16 years, but was successful in finding many locations where it was not. By process of elimination he ran out of places where it was not.

Of course my main goal is to find the medallion but I have not failed unless I give up. Once it is found I like to compare where I'd looked and how close I was on the clues.

Even if the medallion has been found and some idiot is holding on to it, it simply gives me more time to see if I can figure it out. Sooner or later the location will be announced and I will know how close I was to finding it.

Many are dirt, but some are paved

Wednesday 25th Clue:
The trail has many curves

Referring to the Moto X track south of the race track.

Thursday 26th Clue:
Where the metal meets the road

The dirt road (110) since the County grader with a metal blade does grade that road.

Friday 27th Clue:
Most have many branches

Maybe the dirt bank, so of the 56 & 110 road, where the traffic sign is located.

Saturday 28th Clue:
When they turn they roar

Race cars at the track?

Sunday 29th Clue:
No Clue

Monday 30th Clue:
The high banks can be treacherous

That bank is pretty high (10-15") and steep.

Tuesday 31st Clue:
Water is key
The city well about 200 yds. so of the sign, or the corn field just to the west of the steep bank? Everyone knows it takes alot of water to grow corn.

Since I've searched that area extensively, I don't think it's there, or it was but not any more.

I'll keep looking, maybe it has just been overlooked!

Corn field???.......... I thought it had to be on public property............... I think it's by the race track - is there a water tower out there? Or some city water source?

I should have said, in the ditch between the road and the corn field. You are correct it does have to be on public property.

And yes, there is a city well south of the traffic sign about 200 yds. Not the stop sign at the intersection but the sign located on the dirt bank.

It aint' water moccasins i'ld be worried about..

it'd be the rattlers... and maybe it'ld be best to search with Man's best friend at that point? If you don't have a dog, rent one from a friend.
