2007 Medallion Hunt

Monday 23rd Clue:
They come in many shapes and sizes.
A river/bridge

Tuesday 24th Clue:
Many are dirt, but some are paved
Dikes on the river are mostly dirt but some are paved

Wednesday 25th Clue:
The trail has many curves
The river has many curves and its more a trail than river now

Thursday 26th Clue:
Where the metal meets the road
The railroad bridge

Friday 27th Clue:
Most have many branches
The river has branches

Saturday 28th Clue:
When they turn they roar
Warning siren in/near the park?

Monday 30th Clue:
The high banks can be treacherous
The banks of the river have wire barricades

I just can't see havin the buckle around the riverbed where the risk of a snake bite is pretty high. I figured it would be where even handicapped folks could join in the search. Isn't it usually in sight from the road? or sumthin? I can't see folks in walkers and wheelchairs goin to the riverbed. Then again stranger things have happened. I just thought the hunt was for all - physically bodied or not.

I HEARD..(KEY WORD IS HEARD) that someone found it a day or two ago at the old race track. I called the newspaper and it has yet to be turned in. I don't know if this is true or not......PROBABLY NOT.

I'm tired of wandering around in the heat in circles. I was up at 8 am, and searching this morning.. okay okay.. 9 am, but 8 sounded better... We tried to look more after lunch, but it's just too darn hot, and not finding anything after that long of walking about, gets quite irritating for the kids. They said they QUIT!! I went along with the majority, and voted home and air conditioning as well.

I just went to the Globe office and got a list of the clues. There's a guy in the office saying that it has been found and the person is keeping it (for now).

I really don't understand why if this isn't true, someone would even say that. There are SEVERAL people out looking for it, including myself! Way to waste people's time if someone does have it! It's a cruel joke and whoever is doing it (if true) owes me some gas money!

If it's been found, It should be stated.

I've driven in three or four days from Minneola, because my kids REALLY want to go searching for it. We've been all about, and I've gone through a few gallons myself. Of course, my patience being tested is more precious!!

When I was a younger, I'ld go hunting for it, and it's a great way for the kids to put on their thinking caps and get exercise!!! I just wish people could be honest, find it, turn it in, and let everyone else think maybe next year, then go about their regular business.

4:10 p.m. Monday: I just checked with one of my co-workers, and she said the medallion has not been turned in yet. Believe me, we would not tell people that the medallion is still out there if it had, in fact, been turned in.

Well it can not be in side of the gates just off 14 at the race track.
Normal operation of the track those white gates are suppose to be lock.

I don't think that is the point of whether or not it has been turned in. It should be told that it has been found, if that is the case. That way people aren't spending time out in the heat looking for something that isn't there. Or, spending big bucks to fill up the car to head to Dodge from out of town to look for the medallion if they have no chance to find it because it isn't there.
