3 more rings from Sunnyside school makes a total of 7 rings in less than a week. We also went to Central School where I found a 1903 Indian Head and a gold soccer ball pendent, a wheatie and a Kansas Tax Token.

I sure wish you would find my bracelet that a girl stole from me in 3rd grade. She was a very tall and big girl and I had to just let her keep it. My mom said she had less than we did and didn't have anything herself so she probably needed it more than I did. Still miss that thing. Copper with turquoise stones. It wasn't like we were rolling in it either. I treasured that thing. I always hoped she lost it and didn't get to enjoy it either.

With all your findings lately....it is making me want to get my detector out of the closet...dust it off and go hunting.
Sure would like to find historical things...don't care so much about the rings and bracelets...

They range in price from $100 to $1200. A lot depends on what you want to find. A gold detector isn't as good for coin hunting as a coin detector, and a coin detector isn't as good for gold hunting as a gold detector. Then if you're a relic hunter there are detectors specifically designed for that, which also isn't as good for coins or gold.

Then you have the multi-purpose detectors that can do well at coin hunting, relic hunting and prospecting. Of course those are the more expensive ones.

I get my detectors from off either ebay or T C Detectors out of Connecticut. On ebay you can get some pretty good buys. If you want a good source to learn about the different detectors, try going to http://go metaldetecting.com great info and the forum lets you ask all the questions you want to some very knowledgeable detector users.

I can tell you although detectors can be expensive, if you just get out and use it, it will pay for itself easily in a short time
