My great grandfather came there in 1879 and grandfather born in 1888 and dad born in 1930. Posted first date wrong so sorry. Writing a book. Any interest do you think of those remembrances of early dodge?

I've read everything I could get my hands on about Dodge City and the area. I'd love to read your book when done.

My great Ant, Lola Crum, co-authored a book called Adams-Kimbrel A Century in Kansas that tells about our family's trek to Kansas in 1885, and settling west of dodge. My Great granddad used to ride with Robert Wright and Charles Rath to their Masonic meetings on Sundays.

I'd love to read it as well. I worked for a few years at the Chamber of Commerce and learned a great deal about the history then - and learned some from parents and grandparents as well. It would be great to learn more about some of the stories I've heard. And Detector, I had no idea you were Lola Crum's nephew. Great lady!
