new to dodge and treasure hunting

I'll be new to Dodge come a few days. I happen to be interested in prospecting for precious metals/stones as well. Any tips for a newbie? I don't have any equipment.

I have been been prospecting here in dodge for years. Precious metals include gold, silver and the occasional platinum. The good thing is some even come with precious stones already attached.

Here is just a few of the examples I have.

I got a new 6x4 DD shooter coil today I can't wait to try. There is a place near where I've found barbers and seated dimes that was so trashy you couldn't get anywhere. This shooter should get me between the trash.
