Families can participate in rifle safety class Saturday

SOUTH HUTCHINSON - Heartland Outdoor will host a National Rifle Association Home Firearms Safety class for families at 9 a.m. Saturday.
The free four-hour class will feature a lecture and video presentations combined with hands-on demonstrations and instructions. The class is for both adults and children.

Research shows that nearly half of all American homes contain at least one firearm. The class, taught by Fred Smith, will offer tips for keeping homes gun-safe. For more information or to preregister, call (620) 664-6103.
