| Its important that we remember these businesses that stood up to be counted with the illegals. There is talk about an American boycott of all businesses catering to illegals. Also FIRE(Federal Immigration Reform and Enforcement) is sending letters out to these businesses OWNERS to see if they are aware their managers are using their businesses for political statements. If the owners are supporting this then that business goes on the list to be boycotted. If the owner is not then the managers are being dealt with. Once the illegal movement is put to rest these supporting businesses may just find themselves all alone.

| We should be celebrating February 23 as um... February 23. This date has similar meaning to Americans. Cinco De Mayo is the celebration of repelling, you noticed I didn't say defeated, the French by the people of Puebla. Only in America has it become a big celebration. The repelled the French for 3 days before they got their butts kicked. February 23 1836 the Alamo had a small band of Americans that repelled Santa Ana's army for 13 days before they got their butts kicked.

| LET ME GET THIS STRAIGHT Stinko-Goodby'o is a celebration of a lost battle? Celebration of getting their asses kicked by the French? I would bet that most mexicans-latinio's in this country have no idea what they are even celebrating. I am going to make it a mission to ask one/some of them what May 5th means or their understanding of what the Celebration is about. I thought it was a Celebration of their independence from Spain (or just another excuse to get drink in your front yard), but obviously I was mistaken. Would love to see a news crew stop them on the streets during the celebration and ask them. |

| Most will tell you its the celebration of defeating the French Army, or to hear them tell it "The great European army." Now I've always thought defeat meant to beat or win, in this case it means to delay an inevitable loss. From what I've read at http://www.inside-mexico.com/featurecinco.htm Some stooge tried to take the city called Puebla with a bunch of poorly equipped Indians and got their butts spanked and went home. Then when a real general and the French Foreign Legion returned 3 days later they cleaned house. This is why they don't do much celebrating Cinco De Mayo in Mexico. Here its just another reason to party. Thats why I say its sounds like our Alamo to me only we don't celebrate our lost battles. They say Cinco De Mayo represents when they stood up to the mighty European army and lost. Much like how the defenders of the Alamo stood up to the Large Mexican Army and was defeated. For us we use the cry "remember the Alamo" to represent when a few brave soles stood up to unsurmountable odds knowing they would die and did their best. For Mexicans it means the same thing they just would rather call it a celebration and another reason to party

| Yeah we are proud of our loss............ cause in the end WE spanked thier ass. Course to us it's about bravery, honor, committment to the Texican people. Could be why many of us in Texas (white, black, and brown) feel we paid our dues, we won Texas fair and square.......... The browns were beggin for help from Santa Anna's taxes and cruelty. American's were lookin West and the 2 just came together. So we ain't so fond of givin away what so many died for. We lost many many well known Americans at the Alamo. We do have respect for Mexican holidays and such......... it's the lazy "gimme" browns that we don't want. And the legal thing is a BIG issue round here.
