| Lots of fun this weekend Garden City is hosting the Kansas Sampler Festival this weekend- looks like it is going to be lots of fun!! More than 150 Kansas communities will feature exhibits to highlite the history and activities of each community. Even Dodge City has a booth. There will be trolley rides, entertainment, musical presentations, vendors, shops and ehibits. Dodge City will have it's trolley there for trolley rides through heart of Garden City. The cost is 8.00 for adults 7.00 for kids from 7-14 and is free for kids under 6. Times: Saturday May 6th 9 am - 4 pm Sunday May 7th 10 am - 4 pm Location: Lee Richardson Zoo (left as you enter town on 50) Some activities will include: Blacksmith, scooter rental, children activities, Cinderella Carraige, Great Race, Art Bluff, Jam Session, Safari Shoppe, Historic re-enactments, Musical Entertainers, Flying Chuckwagon, Cheyenne Indian Encampment, KS Seeing Eye Dogs, Antique Bicycles, Keystone Gallery/Fossil prep, Honky Tonk Music, Ancient Solarmarkings, Jefferies Brothers, wood carving, wheat weaving, fly fishing, lots and lots of food and shopping, and the list goes on..... I am taking the kids for a day of fun on Saturday. | Yes, Garden City has their ducks in a row and are doing it right. They have a real Sears store, a Target, a Home Depot, a Staples and many businesses that are growing that aren't just mexican businesses.
