They? those who do the above mentioned things or all mexicans in general? What pisses me off is people use the word mexican as a blanketed term, regarding all mexicans. Gross generalizations of a population of people is stereotyping people, plain and simple. Just like if i said white people watch nascar and shoot animals for fun would be wrong. If you mean the hispanics which treat the country like shit, say it. Cause recently i've seen posts that say mexicans this, mexicans that...with negative aspects to them. I have many friends who are mexican and many who were born in mexico and moved here. So if you mean to talk about a people, don't make a blanket statement. I've never seen an argument stem from being too specific.

Oh Drifter WE know what you mean. Not ALL of us are so redneck that we don't realize what you are saying. I think you need to use some common sense here. When folks write - mexicans this and mexicans that............ some are referring to ANY person of south of the border heritage.... MOST are referring to mexicans that are not legal - suckin our system dry just to support a 3rd world country that shows it's own citizens no respect.

I think you very well know what we mean. I learned a long time ago - ya can't save the world, and your circle of influence is small when compared to the world. I do understand your moral need to clarify a possible hint of racism. Truth is tho - I'm not sure there are racists that post here - most of us are just tooooo polite to be racist. I know what you're saying Drifter. When I went to school using the word Mexican was a racial thing but thats not true today. By definition Mexican simply means people of Mexico as opposed to people of America no matter the race. Its not racial but regional and as we use it, it means people of Mexico(where their allegiance lay) living in America and the bad seeds.

Calling someone a Mexican is no different than calling someone an American.

In Texas where I am from - not calling someone mexican was pretty much an insult in the 70's. Hispanic and Latino were not in use yet and the alternative terms that I learned were not flattering. What ya'll called spic - we called pachuco.......... ya know the greased hair, western polyester pants and pointed toe shiney shoes????............... Now don't get all riled up - my first dear departed hubby was mexican........... so I actually know far worse words than what I just used............. If he were alive he'd be laughin at all of this anyhow................ THAT's the mexican culture I was exposed to....... ya know the kind that is proud to be of American birth???? Look around you will still find em.................. they just don't get as much news coverage as someone that has no investment in this country - other than to rob and pillage.......... and rape the economy of what they can get............
