| I agree that the spots should be for customers. The problem is, there is no close parking. It's a mess when you have a big deal like this with no where to park. In some cases, I think the businesses just need to suck it up. One example of this is Robinsons. The have blocked off their lot because they don't want traffic driving through to get around the construction at 14th and the bypass. Ok, that is fine but have you ever seen more than three cars in that GIGANTIC lot at any given time? The extra traffic wouldn't hurt them. Same goes for the dentist office accross the way. They blocked off their lot as well for the same reason. Fine, I can drive a mile or so out of my way to get around the construction, but I won't do business with their greedy asses when I need their services. I'll do business with those that participate in the well being of the city as a whole. Back to your point, maybe we need to do like Garden does when they have an event, use busses and trolleys to move them back and forth from parking areas at the fairgrounds. Nobody wants to walk far in this heat and it would help the turnout for the events.

| I thought that we had a big parking lot at Boot Hill? Also, isn't Downtown Dodge one big parking lot from Wyatt Earp to Front Street, from third to Central? Except where the bull is on 2nd.

| Something needs to happen. I for one avoid alot of the functions for the parking. In addition, handicap access is terrribly limited, especially when non-handicapped people park in the spots. |

| I tell ya, I am kinda surprised when I see the Dodge City Trolley over in Garden helping with parking for their events but not used for ours to help with parking- anyone else find that strange?

| Gee, we even use trolleys up here - our friggin' parking lots are always full and we always have to borrow some. Seriously, though - you could use the parking lot at the Civic Center, the Jr. High and the new High School and a couple of trolleys/buses. Be a lot safer after the event is over, too.
