We should try and promote good debate.

It might be more effective though, without the name-calling and profanity...but hey, that's just my opinion....

I'm with you!!! I'm tryin' to figure out what Army said to get blasted like that. Holy Schmoly! Army's at one end of the scale and Wordie's at the other. Doesn't make 'em bad - just believe different political ideology.

Now shake hands and go to your corners!

You look to the other sideline..the sideline of your competition, your enemy, and you see the head coach fighting, arguing with his assistant coaches....you see this and in your mind you say....they are split..they are divided...I will continue to fight because they show disagreement, weakness.
in that analogy, i wouldnt continue to fight because the coaches didnt agree. The coaches aren't out there playing. And just because they dont agree doesnt mean i'd play less. I'd play just as hard as i had been the whole game. Cause according to that analogy it is inferred that i would have considered quitting. wow, too much for an analogy.

I will apologize for the comment. True i had nothing left to say because what you had said was beyond comment. Saying that a vote for a democrat is a vote for terror. Please. Surely you don't mean it. You're just making a stab at that party. That's why i said somethin, because im not sure you are joking about that anymore. It gets ridiculous after time. Constantly critisizing all democrats. That's why i take it personal. How is calling them names any different from what i said. Granted that one is direct and the other indirect. I was offhand, but i know i'm not alone here.

You don't have to apologize because it doesn't bother me. I'm the anti wordster and try to stir the pot the other way. I mean to offend no one on here and like I said in the PM...I do have liberal views also...My point is that I feel that we should unite in the time of war and we, to include our leaders aren't. That doesn't mean give up your rights or freedom of speech but.... When was the last time you heard a Democrat stand up and say...We will win or we are going to win or we will do what we have to do to win this war on terror? It's painful to see soldiers fighting and having people in our Senate and House that do not want to see them succeed because of their feelings towards the leader of this great nation.

Seems to me that the last time we won a war, a Democrat was at the helm! Oh, and he had the balls to do something that totally changed the world in which we live. Course Army, you probably never studied any history.

Are you referring to FDR? He caught as much flack as Bush is catching now and lost more seats in Congress then Bush is going to loose. But he “stayed the course” and came out looking good in history.

You might want to crack open the history book and check out which party got us into which wars and who got us into the Southeast Asia war games that gave us 58,000+ GI’s back home in a box.

I said the "last time we WON a war" Highway. You know, that was back before most of the DB members time. By the way, I was involved in the Vietnam fiasco, and I voted for Nixon??!!
