| Normally when my wife loses something, if I search long enough, I usually find it in the car, in her (suitcase) purse, etc. If you actually did drop it somewhere, the chances of seeing it again are probably pretty nil. She might put in a police report, just in case they are found, or if she can turn it in to her insurance company. AND, just for Texie, you can always count on us studs for a screw back post, just to protect the bling. ![]() |

I'm curious booger. I've been swinging a detector for many years myself. Have you done any good in Wright Park? Do you ever hunt Fort Mann/Fort Atkinson? Ever found any coins there?

| I operate the White's Spectrum and DFX. Wright Park has been good to me through the years. Best one to come out of the park was an 1877 sitting liberty quarter. I kind of figured that either Wyatt or Bat must have lost it. Several Barber dimes and an Indian Head penny. Just minnies and round ball at the other locations, no coins. 23 pieces of brass out of a site near Fort Dodge, again no coins. This summer in Jetmore, a 42 Walking half in the court yard. 6 other coins in front of the old bank building. Newest was a 1900 V nickle, oldest being an 1875 sitting liberty dime. 4 Indian Heads. I have always offered to assist anyone in looking for their losses. No charge, of course, just the fun of hunting. Best of luck in finding the earrings. |

| WOW. I've been detecting around here for ages and thought I'd met all the other MD'ers. While you've got me beat at the park, my oldest was a 1881 seated dime, I got ya at the forts. At Fort Atkinson I found a 1839-o half dime and just east of Fort Dodge, hunting in Fort Dodge is illegal, NOW! I've found roughly 6 coins all in the 1860's. I mis my Spectrum and wish I could buy it back but I do like my DFX. Maybe you might be interested in doing some hunting. I had channel 6 call me yesterday and ask If they could follow me around not this weekend but maybe next, weather permitting, to do a story on metal detecting.
