| Wreaths Across America I just received this e-mail from my fellow patriot guard and thought I would pass this along to you. Quote:
Dear Families:
Seasons Greetings from the Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery at Fort Dodge. Wreaths Across America is an extension of the Holiday Wreath Program at the Arlington National Cemetery sponsored and completely paid for by Worcester Wreath Company each year for the past fifteen years. The Worcester Wreath Company has donated 6 wreaths (one in memory of veterans in each branch of service and one in memory of POW/MIA’s) to each veteran cemetery across America.
To extend this program, American Legion Post 47 sponsored the cemetery in collecting donations for Christmas wreaths to ensure all interment sites would receive a wreath. Thanks to the generosity of many of you and the community, we were able to purchase enough wreaths for each site.
The laying of wreaths will take place during a special ceremony, sponsored by the Civil Air Patrol, Great Plains Bison Squadron, at the Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery at Fort Dodge on December 14th, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. We are extending an invitation to all family members of those interred to attend this ceremony. Each family will be given the opportunity to place a wreath at the interment site of their loved one.
Please contact the Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery at Fort Dodge, 714 Sheridan, Unit 66, Fort Dodge, KS 67843, or call (620) 338-8772 for questions or more information. We look forward to seeing you on December 14th. Have a safe and joyous holiday season.
Sincerely,
Gwen Martin
Cemetery Manager
