Typically my luck with politics. The very worst scenario is what seems to be happening. McCain vs Clinton. The worst of the worst. I'd rather see Obama in office than McCain and thats just sad.

I think we are seeing many fear votes for the Democrats. Lots of Independents and Republicans voting for Obama because the fear the possibility that McCain might win the Republican nomination and Clinton the Democratic. A loose loose situation. The only option is to work toward keeping McCain and Clinton out.

The only thing I'm fearful of is "more of the same" I don't consider that a fearful vote - I think it's a vote for change. and a "yes we can" attitude. Kinda refreshing IMHO. I see you are beginning to see the light as well. Ya know you just have to vote your good common sense and not your party.

True!

My concern is that Obama don't even come close to what I want in a President, it's just that McCain is like Clinton, that last person I would want.

I've take those on line questioners to see who best matches your needs and Obama hasn't even been in the running. Although McCain has, his stance on immigration has me looking elsewhere.

Just another sad election that makes me ask why I even bother.

I wonder the same thing sometimes. There are a lot of people on the DB that call themselves Conservative but say they may vote for Obama for a "change". I can understand why some would want change. I want change but why would they want to change to the FAR LEFT which is where Obama and Clinton are? That doesn't make sense to me.

I always have believed that my politics or my level of conservatism is not to be judged by others. Those who can't believe my politics are just party puppets. I choose not to be that. I do believe change is needed and I'm willing to take my chances on someone who seems genuinely able to cross boundaries - party be damned.

Sherry...how do you feel about illegal immigration? Do you want to give amnesty to those that are here now or would you rather see tougher laws protecting our citizens and making it difficult for those here illegally to take advantage of gov benefits?
