You have to have paid into unemployment to reap the benefit and you need a SS# for the benefits. The other groups are not reliant on "tax" monies. They are non profit and get more donations than tax breaks. I'm sure donations come from all walks - including rich republicans looking to burn out some $$ to get into thier tax bracket.

Bottom line is - it's people helping people...................... is that so bad? Besides it's bigger than any complaining anyone can do. I just don't see this as an illegal issue - I see it as an umemployment issue which is happening all over the country. Thank business for that - they are going to make the profit off the backs of the illegals then cry foul.

Hillary and BO are WAYYYYYY to the left....they are not moving towards the middle anytime soon. Obama was the most liberal senator of 2007. That means you can't go much futher left without being called a socialist and socialism doesn't work.
Yeah but the opposite could be said for when GW was put into office. The scary thing for me is I question whether or not the Clinton and Obama followers have actually taken the time to look at the track records of everyone running for President. Even Wordy response to why seems to be "Because I hate the Right". That's not a good answer. It's typical of each party to haymaker the opposing party while they are in office. You have to look at not only the party, but the person and the track record also. And I don't think Obama or Clinton are who we want in the office.

That is the spin from the National Journal magazine anyway, I found this that brings some light as to how they made that decision.

Quote:
From NBC's Mark Murray
National Journal magazine is reporting that Obama was the most liberal senator of 2007, according to the vote ratings it does every year for members of Congress. Clinton, meanwhile, ranks as the 16th most-liberal senator.

But a bit of context here: National Journal used 99 Senate votes in 2007 as the basis for its rankings, and because he was on the presidential campaign trail, Obama missed a third of those votes. (According to the magazine, Obama voted the liberal way 65 out of 66 votes. Clinton, meanwhile, voted the liberal way in 77 out of her 82 votes)....Indeed, while Obama ranks as the magazine's most liberal senator of 2007, his ranking was 16th in 2005 and 10th in 2006.

Indeed, while Obama ranks as the magazine's most liberal senator of 2007, his ranking was 16th in 2005 and 10th in 2006.

Great find Bubba....it shows that although BO hasn't been the MOST liberal every year..he's learned very fast. 16th to 10th to #1. AND while he did miss some votes his record on what he did vote on made him #1.

Do you think on the votes he missed he would have went to the convservative side for some odd reason or do you think he would have voted the way he did in most cases?

You are my hero also.

true Bubba, anything thing can be 'spun' to whichever way one likes. I am just wondering why this new Wonder Boy missed so many and Clinton didn't? She is in campaign too.

I'm thinking maybe because she is the candidate to beat so he has to work harder and campaign more to have a chance.
