DCCC Warriors Memorial

Dodge City Community College will be honoring three military servicemen, who were former students and were killed in the War on Terrorism. The memorial will honor Army Sgt. Benjamin Morton killed on May 22, 2005, in Mosul, Iraq; Marine Lance Cpl. Brian A. Escalante killed on February 17, 2007, in Al Asad, Iraq; and Army Sgt. Christopher Ryan Kruse killed on November 13, 2007, in Mukhisa, Iraq.

This will take place at approx. 4:30 this Wed. Apr. 23rd.

I personally invite my DB friends to attend if possible. The PGR will arrive somewhere around around 4:20 and we will have a trailer there with flags, if anyone wants to join us in flag line( I hope we run out).

I am interested but I don't know if I can attend. If not, my thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the fallen.

As of now it appears there will be 30 family members of these Warriors there. Thanks Sgt. T, glad you are back home and in the arms of your loved ones. And THANK YOU for what you do.

I will be there dress in my best. Which is my dress blues. My new boss is also planning on attending. My wife will be there to show the support of the family members as well. I know that Marines are going to try and show up, but don't know for sure. I also have it from an inside source that a "Big Wig" from the Army Reserve Command from Wichita will be there as well. Hope to see you all there. These three men paid the greatest price for freedom and the least we can do is show up to honor them.

Awesome A_S , you better be dressed in your BEST (if they still fit ) as I understand Col or Gen, or Major or whatever Bunting?????????? will be there. YOU BETTER LOOK SHARP. Go over to Orchelens and get you a pair of boots to repalce the froze-broken shoes you tight ass Army guys buy!Also you need to get ahold of Lyons, I think Gwen needs to play the bugle, seriously. And on a final note, SUPPERS ON YOU !!!

Talked with Lyons this morning, he said that this was the Presidents thing. No help was needed from me at this point. Gwen will be going from her work so she will not be playing the bugle. They still fit, what are you trying to say? Was that a fat joke? Don't you know that they fit the blues loose for recruiters to begin with. You non-military people just don't know anything. I replaced the shoes already. Just glad I don't have to wear them that often for that reason. Grainman I will buy you and your wife supper if you want to eat when we are done.

In NO WAY would I imply that anyone is height challenged A_S, you have seen me. I actually thought last time I saw ,you appeared a bit frail. Anyway, PLEASE any of you that can come, to do it. I am very compassionate about the men and women that defend me and MY COUNTRY. Thats why I do what i can. I LOVE OUR FLAG

I will be there...I am also very compassionate about the people who protect our freedoms. I had two uncles that served during the first gulf war and one of them was like AOO and A_S and became an army recruiter.... The memorial looks very good right now.

I would love nothing more than to be able to attend and pay my respects, but unfortunately i'm clear up in Iowa. My condolences to the families of these fallen heroes. Though i can't be there physically i will be there in spirit.
