| This is getting to wierd for me. So if 2 members of the board are at the rodeo and they bought seats that happened to be next to each other.....one has to leave???......... that is just ridiculous. In order to have a meeting there must be FACT based evidence that there WAS a meeting. I still think there might....might be the $500 fine..... but that's gonna be stretchin it. I still think if Robert saw sumthing he should have reported it like he did but I don't think he saw much more than something that "looked" impropper. If ya look long enough and hard enough ya can find fault with anything. I just think 45 minutes on city time to spy on what MIGHT be an impropriety on the school boards part is not something the DCFD pays you to do. Maybe to be "proper" Robert should claim to have been on his lunch break. Ya just gotta be careful when ya start hurlin accusations. He wasn't there - he doesn't know - all he did was "see" something. My other question is did the board member say he got a 443 file or did Robert see that too?.......I just still think considering Robert's past with 443....... maybe there is more to this than meets his, mine, or your eye................. dunno........ just my thought. I'm not a very trusting person when it comes to why folks do what they do.

| No 2 members of a board that size is okay. 3 is the number that is bad.

| I still think this is much ado about nuthin........ no facts......... no event...... If you didn't hear what was said it's nuthing more than a $500 fine. You can voice your discontent at the next election....... that's bout all that's gonna happen here.........

| Anybody could have seen these people together. It happened to be an employee of the fire department. Just because he saw what happened across the street for 45 minutes does NOT mean he did NOTHING durring this time. If I would have seen this and reported it would that really make a difference? My point is that it isnt WHO reported it that is the problem. The problem is that school board members who DO know the rules chose to break them and they were called on it. In this town it is pretty hard to find someone that is not or has not been in some way involved with U S D 443 weather it is as a student, parent, employee , Board or ex-Board member. Does that mean everybody has an axe to grind?? I still say good job Robert! |

| I think the word UNETHICAL comes to mind.

| I personally don't know Robert - I'm just sayin if you put yourself in the light by calling "foul" you gotta be "factual" The ONLY fact I see so far is there were 3 board members in one spot. There is no FACT there was 443 business bein conducted. I'm sure Robert is a good fireman.......... I think he put himself in the spotlight and the accused are probably thinking the same thing. When you make an accusation you should never be surprised when the first response is to question your motives. I don't live there any longer so it's of no big consequence to me if he spends his whole shift watchin what goes on outside - but my first thought was had he of been thinkin he wouldn't have offered the info that he was "on duty" at the time. It only raises eyebrows and questions of propriety on his part as well as those he was so interested in. For my tax $$ - I'm thinking maybe he should have left out the information of how he chose to spend those 45 minutes. I still don't know who offered the info on the 443 file which is the whole basis for the accusation of "business" being condudted. So if all this is correct - they ALL were pretty unethical............

| A lot of this could be cleared up very quickly. What time of Day (the Alley isn't open during the day) on the (day in question Jan 6). They have activities for youth at night and there is age restrictions on some nights because my son has gone there. The three in question have nothing in common with each other than their school board positions.( I usually don't hang out with people I don't have anything in common with) Nothing was reported in Dodge about the incident until this board and the Hutch paper made it public and as a taxpayer and a registered voter I want to know. We need people to tell what they see. I take my break outside because some days it's just way to nice to stay behind walls. Thanks Robert for the info. |
