| Property taxation was a good vehicle during the settlement era of westward expansion and limited mobility. Today's taxation vehicle should be based on cash flow. Wages, Interest, Rents and Profits should also be included. We're heading that way with the pending legislation that removes certain business property from taxation. We should remove all property from taxation at the same time.

I think you are missing my point but that's ok........ trust me there are plenty of folks on either side of an opinion....... I just think ya should be working when ya are being paid......... UNLESS you are on a lunch break. Firemen get paid for 24 hrs usually 2 days at a time. They don't go home for a reason.... that reason is not to allow them to play PI........ Robert is not the bad guy here but I'm not convinced there were any bad guys. I think there was a paid city employee acting like a private citizen making an accusation without facts to support it. I would think any employee needs to be a citizen on his own time. It's just not what he's paid for that's all..... No harm meant to Robert. He would have been better off to make an anonomoious tip to the DA.......... I think if ya don't want to be scrutinized - don't use your name............ there was and is not gonna be a "hero" award on this one for anyone. I woulda kept my name secret till I knew what I saw is what really happened.

| Keeps life interesting, though, doesn't it??? A marriage counselor once told me (and a past significant other....) that when you fight, you should only fight about one thing. When the subject changes or something else is brought into the mix, the fight is over to be rescheduled for another time when both can stay on topic. I always thought that was good advice, cuz I couldn't keep more than one subject straight at a time. This is the same way. When you run out of reasons to believe or disbelieve, you shore up your opinion any way you can -by bringing up past crap. We should all know better - should I have my marriage counselor come in and give us all tips? Cuz this is getting way too confusing for me. I'm having to page back through old threads to remember what was going on............... ![]()
