| Ever since Reichenborn was elected, a select few have been doing their best to oust him. Viscious rumors have been told. I know many to not be true. I don't know about this incident, but I am very leary of rumors. Heinz states in the article that "I can only assume...". You know what that does to people. Assumptions from one bitter (or not bitter) person do not make facts.

| Wonder what they say when all the same folks show up at the pancake house??? My Lord it's a small town......... just cause ya sit it the same place and gab - probably bout yur kids, the music, and the weekend doesn't mean your doin 443 business. I'm guessin thier family time is just that..... family time. That kinda stuff would really piss me off if I was just livin my life and the "bird dogs" had nuthin better to do but watch my every move. Personally there better be a lip reader or a mic behind somthing that questions my character..............

Perception is a nasty view. The facts have to be known and assumptions should never be published in the newspaper.

| Seems like DC is becoming small town America. I remember when there were times when there was so much goin' on that there wasn't room in the paper to publish who met who for lunch or dinner. You see that in the small town weeklies, don't need to see it in Dodge City! You hit the nail on the head, JR - there isn't any room for assumption in the paper unless it's a letter to the editor. Last time I checked, it wasn't newsworthy when somebody had lunch or dinner. Sounds like somebunny's intent on slanderin' somebunny else and is grabbin' at straws...

| OK, I think y'all are missing the point. I don't know any of the board members, past or present. I just had to get that out of the way.....I think the point of the newspaper article is that three board members met. That is NOT allowed. It doesn't matter what they did or didn't talk about. The FACT is they did meet, that FACT was printed in the paper. The fact that they met and there were three of them broke the rules of the Kansas Open Meetings Act that says the three elected officials are not allowed to meet.
