Ive been a DC citizen for 30+ years. I dont have anything against minorities but get this; Before the start of the school year my wife went to enroll our son in preschool up where the vo-tec used to be. She was the very first person there. So she was the first person to sign up. We were notified that our son wasnt accepted because they had filled all the classes. My wife asked why and was told, "you must not have been at the top of the list" my wife, getting very angry at this point informs the voice on the phone that she was at the top of the list. After a check of records the person at the other end said something to the effect that its first come first serve for the financial underacheivers, AKA-minorities, and everyone else including life-long residents...Good luck. Come on. Enough is Enough. Ill play along with watchin my tounge so I dont offend a certain ethnic bunch but this is going too far. Well we fought tooth and nail and got him in. But only because someone bailed leaving an unexpected opening. My grandma used to say, "Stop this world and let me off." Now I say it at times like this

The crapper is that the "financial underacheivers" work at the packing plants were they make good money. I guess when you can use different names and social security numbers though, that don't matter.

One reason that these kinds of problems never get addressed is because as soon as you bring them up some clown crawls out from under a rock and screams “Racist”. Then the subject changes to “Who’s a racist?” “What’s a racist?” “I’m not a racist!” “Yes you are too!” At the end of the day nothing is accomplished. Political correctness is slowly killing us.
