| My middle school son read this thread and said he would much rather wear blue than yellow, and he is not a gang member. I was on the school task force when this was an issue. I voted for the green shirts and Khaki pants. Blue is a gang-related color, but when everyone is wearing it, it is not as powerful.

| I like the green shirt and khaki pant idea better. I don't think any gang color should be used although they do switch to show who they are. I was also reading about the graffiti... I hate seeing all that trash around, it gives the real artists a bad name. My ex was supposed to do a piece on the alley this summer but never did. He's also in the process of drawing a piece for that corner on napa (trail and South 2nd) something patriotic. He's done lots of work in Pueblo Colorado. When he first moved down here I took him down Central st. he seen "brown pride" on the school. He was completely shocked that people would do that, he wrote an article to Dodge Globe about it but they never published it |

| Tat, it's hard to find a color that's not a gang color. Almost every color can be affiliated with at least one gang, but, like jr said, when everyone is wearing it, it doesn't mean as much, and I don't think that there are to many people that think every middle schooler is a cryps member.

| I never understood the idea behind uniforms in the first place. Kids are not all the same dressing them alike isn't going to convince anyone. Also kids need to express themselves. Now they do it by poking holes in their noses and eyebrows.

| Uniforms are stupid. The kids should only have to wear them if the teachers and administration are required to wear them as well.

| I wouldn't mind wearing a uniform so I didn't have to decide what to wear everyday, seriously I thought dark blue was the gang color not light blue. Why isn't the law catching the little artist's writing on stuff? |
