| We don't have Lincoln anymore. Linn Elementary ---1900 West Linn Street Central Elemetary 1000 Central Avenue Beeson Elementary 1700 West Beeson Rd. Sunnyside Elementary 511 Sunnyside Soule Intermediate Center-- 401 Soule Street Not to offend anyone but this is a forum....I didn't have her as a teacher and I did see the school board meeting where she didn't want to give the public a chance to voice their concerns. People change and maybe she did. By the way Dan Reichenborn was a teacher, sued the school or was paid to leave his profession and became a school board President. I bet some people want to name it after him. |

Dan is no fan of free speech, whether it be at public meetings or on this board. I am with ya bubba. Next election, he is out. Too controversial and arrogant. He would like nothing better than be the sole decision maker for the school board, free from troublesome community input.

| I went to Lincoln for I think a year. I didn't have her for a teach either. I just think she is a model of what teachers can accomplish - and she's alive! The streets are usually named after people who lived on them first or sumthin. So essentially they are named after people.......... I don't get bent outta shape if ya disagree - it's what this place is all about! I also understand that not everyone likes everyone elase...... no worry lilmom.... it's all good!

| If location is more important than honoring someone, then "Out-a-the-Way" Screwl could suffice. "Over There" or "Way Over There" Screwl is good, too. "Congestion Parkway" Screwl should be discriptive enough. "Because It Was Free" Screwl was the rallying cry from our Screwl Bored so that name would be appropriate. "We Screwed You Again" Screwl is just too honest.

| See.....I didn't know Lincoln wasn't there anymore. That's the trouble with trying to name a school after a person who was influential to one group or other.....it pisses part of the town off. Hopefully, they'll listen to everybody's opinion before making their decision and will do so after taking the opinions into consideration. The Olathe School Board has all their grade schools named after old west figures, funny as it seems. I dunno where the Overland Park schools got their names, but they're all kinda alike. Blue Valley schools are all something, but I can't figure out what. So Dodge has all their named after streets. What they need to do is build a new street, name the street after somebody influential and build the new grade school after the street name. There - that'll do it.

| That street is named for someone who bought land and donated some of it to build a horsepistol. He wanted the street to carry his name but to honor his father. He was influential in DC's effluent effluence.
