I just reread the whole thread and saw some comments about ILLEGALS. Personally I don’t consider all illegals Hispanic and I don’t consider all Hispanics to be illegals. Now if you’re a citizen (by birthright) and chose to put yourself in the same category as criminal aliens because of the color of your skin then that’s your racist problem.

I have no problem living near or even with a Hispanic person. Hell, I've even had relations, sexual and otherwise with hispanics. The problem I have is with "Illegal" immigrants. If you came here legally or were born here then there is no problem in my eyes. Where the problem is, the fact that you and other liberal MF's don't understand the word "illegal" when we raise hell about the problem. Oh yeah, and welcome to Dodgeboard. You should learn to fully understand what is being talked about in the thread before all the ranting and name calling though.

not every post was directed at "illegals" as you have said they were. Despite your intentions, what was said was said. You may have meant illegals, but you didn't say it. Many misunderstandings have happened because of omitting words or messing up. Remember Kerry's flub....I can see a resemblance...anyone else.

I've always made it clear that I don't have a problem with immigrants be they hispanic, asian, or anything else, in every thread the subject has come up. The problem I have had and made clear, at least I thought I did, was with the ILLEGALS.

I would agree with you but if this guy comes into this board for the first time, reads your first post on this thread and sees that you want to call it mexico north with a pinata mascot...i can see where the racist comment has come from.

But i digress...since most of this was done jokingly, naming of the school and such i can see a lighter side of this whole ordeal. Many comedians make jokes about mexicans, whites, blacks etc....Carlos Mencia makes jokes that there are lots of mexicans in LA...dodge has a big mexican population and jokes can be made (in taste).

Some people make these jokes and i can percieve them as jokes, while others post them and leave me wondering.

Truth is, most legal Hispanics despise the illegals that are here. There is a great divide between the "legals" and the "illegals".

I was raised in a foster home by Mexicans from age 13-18, that is why I speak Spanish. I love them all very much to this day.

They despised the illegals just as much or more than the whites do. I think it was because they fought hard for their right to be here, while the illegals were spoiling the movement.

Does anyone here know Isaac Sanchez? He lives over on F street, was a commander in the Viet Nam War and fought for our freedoms. He wore his service uniform and spoke against the illegals marches that recently took place in Dodge City.

He is a patriot for the United States, a Patriot for Hispanics attempting to become legal US citizens. He is also a foe to illegals who proudly display the Mexican flag, come here illegally without applying for citizenship, and cash in on our programs while remaining illegal.

Most of the Mexican-Americans I have talked to are against amnesty for illegals. They are against flying any other flag but the American flag, and they are against illegal immigration. They are embarrassed by the recent actions of illegals "demanding" anything.

I'm not as much against the illegal's taking advantage of our kind-hearted nature as I am against the bureaucratic system that offers and encourages being taken..... Why? Because it fuels the further building of their bureaucracy and therefore swells their ranks. The quickest promotion a bureaucrat can get is by putting/shoving lesser bureaucrats under themselves. They first must throw our money (services) to the largest number of 'clients' possible in order to ask CONgress for more, more, more...

I've argued the "they're taking advantage of us (U.S.)" point many times by saying that it's our fault for letting it happen.

Put leftovers outside your back door for a year and watch the kats... Withhold the 'gift' after a year and listen to them cry. And cry they do; but they eventually start to find Nature's gifts on their own. Within a generation, your gifts are forgotten.

You’re right old doG. And if we want to get the congress critters to turn things around one of the first things that needs to happen is for them to not hear ‘racist’ being screamed every time the issue comes up. They seem to be more afraid of being labeled a racist then losing their job.
