| now see, TexKan? Those are some fond memories. I remember at Sacred Heart, the lunch ladies used to make killer cinnamon rolls on Fridays with the fish. I used to BEG to eat lunch at school. Like I said, every once in a while Mom would get tired of hearing us whine. All the other kids hated school lunch, but we just thought they were the best. Kinda like wearing 'homemade' clothes - we didn't want to but all the other little girls liked them better. Funny the things you remember when you grow up!

| Yeah if they actually had home made stuff and I didn't see the Cysco truck everyday pullin up to the school - I'd pay $5 for a lunch like we used to get. Course I figure there's a lot more "deals" goin on at school and they aren't in the cafeteria...... if it's like most schools........

You know, my mom taught me to never throw food away - if there was food left in the pan, but not enough to put in the fridge, we were supposed to eat it. | I remember going to Central School from like 1978-1985 - or something like that. The best lunch we ever had was when the ovens broke and they had Godfathers bring us pizza instead. Then, in 6th grade, it was awesome because we got to help serve lunch for a week at a time and got free seconds if we wanted it. From third grade on, I would always have to take an extra 15 cents with me just to buy an extra milk to go with my lunch. Even back then those lil half pint cartons did not go far - today they look more like a shot glass to me. |

| I loved fish day too! Oh and lets not forget on Wednesdays Chicken and Noodles with mashed potatoes.....Hell ya!! Its all good.  Does the High School still have a salad bar too?
