School Lunch!!!

Geesh - the only salad we ever had was carrot salad.......even resturants didn't have salad bars back in the old days......LOL..........There was only a few kinds of bars - one ya hung at, the other ya hung on.......

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the hamburger line at DSHS. That is the only thing that got me through the day. I wasn't much into the variety thing, I ate hamburgers and fries eery single day. Man, them hamburgers were good. Now, look at me! They say you are what you eat. Well, I look like a big hamburger!!

My last full day in DCJHS's lunch room we were served asparagus....... in lime jello. To this day I still don't know what that tastes like..... I've heard of "clean the kitchen" and that surely has to be a classic.

I do not have fond memmories of lunches at Sacred Heart unfortunately. I remember being made to eat spinach (achhhhhhhh) and other gross veggies until I threw up. I always got the "starving children" lecture and even at that age I wondered how hard it was for them to grow food.
As for High School.......well, most of my lunches were spent at Kates or the Golden Cue.

You've gotta be kidding, Lurker? Who would waste good asparagus, on lime jello? Personally, I prefer my asparagus with pistachio ice cream!!
